Eyebrow transplant: precision above all
Sparse, over-plucked or scar-marked eyebrows can be restored durably by follicular grafting. It is one of the most demanding procedures in terms of precision: every hair counts. Dr Khalil El Cadhi, full member of the ISHRS, explains what makes a natural result.
Why graft the eyebrows?
The reasons vary: naturally thin eyebrows, old over-plucking that no longer grows back, age- or illness-related loss, a scar or localised gap. A transplant offers a durable solution where make-up and microblading are only temporary.
A high-precision procedure
The eyebrow allows no approximation: the very flat angle of the hairs, their direction which changes along the arch, and the measured density must reproduce the natural design. This is why DHI, which offers fine control of implantation, is often favoured here — but the surgeon’s mastery matters more than the technique. The outline is drawn and validated with the patient before the procedure. Learn more about eyebrow transplants.
The result and its upkeep
As elsewhere, temporary shedding is observed before regrowth, which is judged over a few months. A particularity of eyebrows: the grafted hairs (from the scalp) keep a tendency to grow, and therefore need to be trimmed regularly. That is the price of a dense, durable result.
A bespoke project
There is no “standard eyebrow”: face shape, features and aesthetic expectations guide the design. The goal is harmony, not a fixed outline. This work is done in consultation, after analysis.
Frequently asked questions
Is the result natural?
Naturalness depends on the angle, direction and density reproduced. A design validated beforehand and precise implantation are decisive.
Do grafted eyebrows need trimming?
Yes: hairs from the scalp keep growing and are trimmed regularly.
Transplant or microblading?
Microblading is semi-permanent make-up to be renewed; a transplant restores real hairs, durably. They meet different needs.
